Reminder: New Christmas Hymn

In August, I mentioned that ChurchWorksMedia.com has a new Christmas hymn available—our first. Amazingly, most people weren’t ready to think about Christmas hymns at the time. Weird.

As you plan your congregational singing for December, consider introducing Gloria Deo! to your church family. There are already many Christmas hymns from which to choose. Some are amazingly doctrinal. Others are, well, not. Gloria Deo! very intentionally centers on our Savior, especially from the angelic announcement texts in the Gospels. And Joey Hoelscher has provided for the text a joyful tune which capitalizes on the rhythmic word “Glo-ri-a” and is a delight to sing.

May our Lord be glorified as we sing of our Savior’s birth!

  1. We are doing this song with our adult and children’s choir and will teach it to our congregation. Looking forward to singing it!

  2. Nice, Taigen. Hope it goes well!

Joey has a choral arrangement that I hope will be in print for next Christmas. It’s a fun piece.
