Preserving the Truth Conference

Preserving the Truth Conference

The doctrine of biblical separation is essential in order to safeguard both the gospel and the church. However, the application of separatist principles requires biblical discernment, perhaps more so than we’ve acknowledged. Contending for the faith once delivered to the saints cannot be relegated to a few believers who delight in controversy, nor can it be practiced merely on the basis of labels (e.g. whether one is self-identified as a fundamentalist, attended an approved school, etc.). It’s complicated, especially if we’re interested in biblical fidelity rather than protecting turf.

In light of the challenges and opportunities that face the church in our day, I’m privileged to be participating in the Preserving the Truth Conference on January 7-8, 2011 in Troy, Michigan. Among the other speakers are some of the leaders I most respect. I’m humbled to be sharing the platform with them, and I’m looking forward to what I trust will be a profitable time together. I encourage you to join us. You can find more information about the conference and registration here.
