Osteen’s New Book Is Out! (Plop, Plop. Fizz, Fizz.)

“Become a Better Me”???? Mercy, I’m already WAY too good at being me. I’ll have to pass, thanks. Ugh.

Note to self: Start a new category called “What I’m Not Reading.”

(HT: Dan Greenfield, though his presence on Osteen’s mailing list makes me wonder about him.)

  1. Where is the mind of a “spiritual” guy when he turns Jesus into a magical genie? The Cross of Christ is not a magic lamp, and anyone who demeans it like Osteen, well…

Please, even my kids see through the word of faith crowd for what it is: PHONY. Pretty astute for such young minds, I would say. Osteen: don’t want anything to do with him.

Oh, Chris, better you be you than me be you. I have enough trouble being me :).

  2. His head is tilted similarly to yours in your online picture. Granted, different directions, but a striking similarity on the tilt and smile. . .

  3. No, no, no. His head is tilted toward the left and mine is toward the right—from the viewer’s perspective, that is. Just like our theological positions.

Night and day. Apples and oranges.
