My friend and mentor Michael Barrett has accepted the new position of Academic Dean at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I rejoice with him in this new opportunity even as I pray with him, Sandy, and GRS in their various transitions. I’m confident that the Lord will continue to use him mightily.
You can hear and/or watch Dr. Barrett’s explanation of his decision to his church family at Faith Free Presbyterian Church here.

This is great news for Michigan and it’s also great news for Dr. Barrett’s favorite pastime! The hunting is so much better up here in Michigan!
Shocking news. In a certain sense, saddening, but in another sense, I rejoice that God has definitely revealed to him what His will is. “The thing proceedeth from the LORD.” Dr. Barrett’s testimony was eloquently delivered–as usual–and a great blessing to my own heart as I see some great needs approaching. Thankful for him and his ministry in SC. Wish him Godspeed and God’s best during this time of transition. Thanks for posting the news.
