Happy Birthday, Ryan Martin!

Friend, we’ve only talked on-line, but I know what you like…

From me to you: a collection of (ahem) the best in Christian cinema from the last 50 years.

Movies

No need to thank me. Happy birthday!

  1. Praise Moves?

My wife wanted to sell our still-in-the-shrink-wrap VHS copy of Left Behind: The Movie to Half-Price Books, but I stopped her (though I’ve had it now a couple years without watching it). I’m saving it for a time when I really want to get upset.

I guess I don’t understand why you filed this touching tribute under “Junk Drawer.”

  2. Chris–is it true that your church is starting a Christian video rental service? Or was that just another vicious rumor?

  3. Okay, Birthday Boy. I can just see you on the edge of your seat, chomping down popcorn, eyes glued to the screen as you watch Erik Estrada (of CHiPs fame) in The Cross and the Switchblade.

Seriuosly now: which of these have you seen? Be honest.

  4. A long time ago (seriously) in a galaxy far, far away (not seriously) I saw Chariots of Fire (the gospel’s definitely not present in that one) and an even longer time ago A Thief in the Night (I get saved every time I watch it).

Any that I see now are purely on “journalism credentials” (not seriously–just wanted to get a jab in at a certain T4G poster-boy).
